All Decked Out NYC - Urban Rooftop Design and Construction, Build the Deck of Your Dreams!

All Decked Out NYC are Urban Deck Design Specialists!
When you want to spend some time outdoors after a cold winter, you need a private deck. With the warm weather, the fresh smell of flowers and other plants and beauty of green trees of your own rooftop deck can be enjoyed even by those who live in cities such as New York. Of course not many apartments have terraces but most of them have balconies. If you’re living in an apartment with an access to the rooftop or you live in a Brownstone townhouse you’re a lucky person. Here are some ideas how you can hire All Decked Out NYC to design and install your outdoor space to be perfect for your lifestyle.

Having a rooftop terrace or deck is your expression of an ultimate outdoor space, providing beautiful views that also also serve as an urban garden. A rooftop deck is quite a luxury in NYC, but if you have your own rooftop garden in an urban setting, it can become a great addition to the value of your home and serve as an ultimate entertainment and lounge area with greenery to create the added privacy that comes with building your own urban garden oasis.

All Decked Out NYC are Urban Garden and Rooftop Deck Specialists!

Solid wood is the best option for any deck. Why? It’s natural, sturdy and with some appropriate maintenance will last for years. Choose between ipe, teak, cedar, mahogany TREX or other composite deck materials. Wooden finish also brings warmth to the look and it is simply aesthetically pleasing.

Build and Design Comfortable Seating Areas
Decorating your rooftop deck is easy. Potted plants and trees and flower beds are ultimate accessories. But you can also go for creative furniture, decorations like floor vases and hanging lanterns and other designer accents.
Bringing a water feature to your rooftop deck can also act as an ultimate decoration and even a focal point. Think vertical green wall or a small fountain. Also make sure to invest in good outdoor lighting as it can bring a lot of character to the deck/terrace but it should also withstand the environment. Low-Voltage lanterns and floor lamps add a lot of charm and style to the outdoor spaces like decks and terraces. Also a rug can bring the indoors’ warmth to the area, just be sure to remove it when the weather is wet and cold or too hot (as the rug color can fade).
Beyond your deck's design, you can incorporate unique elements that make your deck stand out. For example, line the exterior rail of a deck with built-in benches or planters. Or create a centerpiece with a gazebo, arbor, a colonnade or a large sitting area with custom built-in furniture. Incorporate natural features such as a trellis covered in vines, walkways or stepping stones that transition from the deck to garden pathways, or living walls grown from wall pockets. For artistic flair, add a wall mosaic, a bouquet of bright paper lanterns, or a line of low voltage lights.

If "green" and sustainable deck materials are important to you, check for Forest Stewardship Council certification on your building materials. Eco-design wood alternatives that blend plastic and wood fiber include Trex, ChoiceDek and TimberTech. For wood decks, we primarily use Ipe and Teak, as well as cedar and mahogany.

We also do great masonry and stonework, like our bluestone projects which are low-maintenance, stay clean all year, and look great. To see more before and after pictures, go to www.alldeckedoutnyc.com to look at our whole portfolio.

New Construction and Design

Our designers and carpenters here at All Decked Out have been creating some beautiful architecture on new decks this season. Below is a work in progress:

Above we've created a structure that not only serves as an air vent cover, but as a functioning bar and storage space as well.
Above again we have covered up air vents and simultaneously added storage cabinets and a small herb garden all in once beautiful streamlined piece.

No Stain, No Gain

We have been sweating it out all Summer long here at All Decked Out, to ensure that all of our clients' gardens are getting the best care and maintenance they deserve.

Over the past few weeks we have been power-washing our wooden decks and planters to prepare for staining.

Staining the wood on our clients' decks yields a number of positive results. First, it is aesthetically pleasing, and hides any flaws in the wood. The stain also helps to protect the wood from the wear and tear of the sun in the summer, as well as the rain, ice, and wind in the fall and winter.

The stain we use is Penofin Verde, which is also great for the environment, as well as the wood we are working with. It is an environmentally friendly stain, made and packaged with all non-toxic materials, safe for use around animals and children.

We've added our special ingredients to the mix, consisting of a lot of sweat and care, as well as a few splinters along the way, and the end result looks pretty satisfying.
